Are there any upfront costs for the hospitality recruitment service?No, we have a risk free payment option for our hospitality recruitment service. You are only liable to pay any fees when a candidate we have introduced you to, competes 4 weeks work. this is because we offer aa flexible instalment plan for all permanent recruitment fees.

Do I get a refund if the candidate doesn't work out?Our hospitality recruitment service package means, you only pay, when the candidate has been successful. For instance, a candidate has a fee of £3000, due on weeks 4,8 & 12 9 via 3 payments of (£1000) the candidate leaves on week 7. The first instalment would have been due and paid and not entitled for a refund. We would then credit the two remaining payments so nothing more is owed, that way you have cash in the bank, rather than a credit note.

How long does it take for you to find a candidate?This is the million dollar question. We have in the past successfully filled roles the same day!, and there are roles that are more challenging to fill. However, our hospitality recruitment service has gone strength to strength in recent years and with our no fee upfront service, you have nothing to lose when using our hospitality recruitment service.

How do you screen a relief chef?Our screening process for all relief chefs consists of an telephone interview, application form, right to work checks and registration. We also take 1 reference for any relief chef applicant. One the relief chef has registered, we collect ongoing feedback from our customers on a weekly basis, to ensure they are the right person to represent our business.

How long do I need to book a relief chef for?We can cover anything from one shift to an ongoing assignment with our relief chef service. The only thing we stipulate is an 8 hour minimum charge per day.

What is a relief chef?A relief chef is a person that works on a short term contract or booking with you. The agency is responsible for paying the contractor and managing onboarding, employment costs and holiday pay.

Are your relief chefs DBS Checked?Some of our relief chefs do hold basic or enhanced DBS certificates, these team members can support the care & education sectors. If you would prefer a chef to have a DBS for your assignment, please let our team know and we can arrange one for you.

What qualifications do your relief chefs have?We request that all of our relief chefs have an up to date level 2 food hygiene certificate (or higher) and an up to date Allergen awareness level 2 also. where the chef does not hold these qualifications on application, we enroll them into our in house training platform Citation. If you need a specific qualification, please communicate this to our team and we request the chef to complete it.

I need to cancel my relief chef I have booked, what do I do?Contact us straightaway on 01422 893 009, we can work with you to bring the assignment to an end, any cancellations within one working day will be subject to an 8 hour minimum charge.

How much notice do you need?We can offer relief chef services on the same day for some customers, but obviously the more notice we get for an assignment the more likely we are to cover the role. So we always suggest letting us know as soon as possible, as you can always cancel if needed.

Do your chefs have an enhanced DBS check or Basic?Most of our DBS chefs are enhanced, but some are basic. We do have an internal DBS checking tool where we can complete an enhanced DBS check in 48 hours.

What experience do I need to become an agency chef?We ideally require 4 years experience as at least a chef de partie. You just also have the right to work in the U.K and hold a level 2 Hygiene Certificate & Allergen Awareness Level 2. if you don't have these qualifications, we can provide online training for you.

How often is Pay Day?Contractors are paid weekly on a Friday, this is for the previous weeks work.

Do your agency chef jobs provide live in accommodation ?Yes, a lot of our clients can offer free accommodation whilst on assignment.

Do you take on self employed or limited company contractors?Sadly not, we only engage contractors on a PAYE basis.

Do you have agency chef work in my area?We strive to offer work U.K wide and we have thousands of customers across the U.K, so there is a high chance we have work in a commutable distance for you.

Do I need any qualifications to be a relief chef?Yes, we require a Level 2 Hygiene and an allergen awareness certificate. if you don't have them, we can issue training modules. we also take any chef on with an Enhanced DBS check, for our care & education customers.
