Description

We are searching for a chef to join this 11-bedroom hotel to oversee the weddings and events side of the business.

The Role will require you to coordinate the weddings and events food operation which can cater for up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast as well as meetings and private dining events. Alongside this you will oversee the daytime dining venue serving light bights from 7am – 4pm. The working hours do vary, some days you may do a daytime shift, whereas other you will be required to work all day.

You will have a small team supporting you and you will report to the executive chef of the property.

The role can offer a better work life balance depending on business. The role offers a salary of 27-30K.

 

Candidate Role

  • Co-ordinate the entire C&B operation reporting to the head chef of the property
  • Develop seasonal menus for the bistro and events alongside the senior team
  • Manage your labour, costings and wastage
  • Work with
  • Be responsible for the health and safety standard of the kitchen
  • Train and develop junior members of the team
  • Assist with recruitment, staff structures and manage kitchen rotas
  • Oversee and manage the multiple food outlets in the hotel, with a strong focus on the bistro and wedding venue
  • Manage ordering and liaise with suppliers for the two venues
  • Work alongside the wedding co-ordinator and clients to design bespoke menus and arrange timings of any event.

 

Candidate Specification

  • Sous chef level essential- in a multi outlet hotel background
  • Have experience with large C&B with a busy restaurant venue
  • Stable working history

  • Be able to manage a large team and plan rotas efficiently
