Chef de Partie-1 Rosette Hotel


Chefs for chefs are currently working with our client in Keswick, seeking an enthusiastic, passionate and determined chef de partie to join the brigade of 8 at their 4 star, 1 Rosette country house hotel.

The restaurant does not currently serve lunches and the breakfast shift is rotated between all staff, so on average there is one breakfast shift to do per week.

The head chef has been at the property for 10 years this year and they are pushing hard towards their second rosette, average covers are around 35 per night, up to a maximum of 55. A brand new kitchen suite has also been installed, along with all new modern tech and gadgets.

There is live in accommodation available for a charge of £150 per month, fully inclusive of bills, the salary is £23k plus a tips package of around £2.5k.

Candidate Role

  • Assist the head chef with the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Deputise for the sous chef in his absence
  • Train and develop junior members of the team
  • Contribute towards new menu ideas and dish development
  • Ensure consistent quality in all food produced
  • Uphold the kitchen’s food safety and hygiene protocols

Candidate Specification

  • All fresh food background is a must
  • Rosette background ideally
  • Must be a good communicator
  • Have excellent time keeping, personal and man management skills
  • Be confident in all areas of the kitchen
  • A very strong commis/demi may be considered
