Description

We are currently recruiting for a luxury boutique hotel in the city center of York, this establishment is very popular for weddings and conferences and utilizing the local markets for fresh food to produce modern British Dishes to a high standard.

The Establishment is looking for a Strong Chef De Partie who can bring flair, innovation and be passionate to assist with new seasonal dishes whilst assisting the head chef in service.

Recently, the site has come under the guidance of a new head chef and has achieved a 2 AA Rosette accreditation in the restaurant which can cater for 22 covers in the restaurant but the outdoor surroundings and function through lunch and weddings and banqueting can cater up to 60 covers.

Overall we are looking for an individual that is bright, enthusiastic, hard working with an approachable personality that thrives in a busy kitchen atmosphere. The salary on offer is up to £22k + Great tips package working 5 days over 7 around 45 hours. 

Candidate Role

·Develop junior members of the team to make them the best they can be

·Assist in daily running of the kitchen

·Work with the senior team to develop the overall running of the kitchen

·Assume joint responsibility for the overall running of designated sections throughout the kitchen

·Maintain strict health, safety and hygiene protocols

·Ensure consistency in your work

·Participate in daily food prep and cooking in service

·To maintain all hygiene and safety standards with particular emphasis on health and hygiene.

·To produce and deliver high quality food to our customers, in accordance to the standards agreed.

·Take responsibility of the health and safety as well as food hygiene regulations

·Motivate the junior members of the brigade, ensuring they are ready for service

Candidate Specification

·Must be able to have own transport

·Be passionate, creative and have enthusiasm to develop as part of a team

·Great management skills

·Be able to work independently as well as a team

·High levels of professionalism and approachability 

·Have a natural drive to develop the food offering

·Must have experience working in fast paced restaurants
