Chefs for chefs are delighted to be working alongside our client on the outskirts of York, a stunning 4 star hotel set in 6 acres of grounds. We are seeking to recruit a passionate and driven chef de partie to join the team of 10 chefs in order to help the team push things forward and build on the success of their 2 rosette status.

The hotel has 62 bedrooms and can get quite busy, so we are looking for someone who can handle both volume and quality ideally from a hotel background. The style of food is modern European, using modern equipment to present dishes in a contemporary way.

Accommodation can be provided for the right candidate and there is up to £24k on offer as a basic annual salary.

Candidate Role

·Assume responsibility for the day to day running of your designated section

·Assist the senior team with the smooth running of the kitchen

·Ensure consistent quality in all food produced

·Train and develop the junior staff members 

·Uphold the kitchens food safety and hygiene protocols

·Manage stock levels to minimise waste

·Contribute to new menu ideas and dish development

Candidate Specification

·A fresh food background is a must

·Rosette experience preferred

·A can-do attitude and flexible approach to work

·The desire to succeed as a chef

·Hotel background would be ideal

·Excellent personal skills 

·Be up to date with industry technique and trends

·Be food safety and allergen aware
