Description

I am currently working with an award-winning restaurant with rooms on the outskirts of Harrogate that are looking for a Chef De Partie to join their brigade.

The property has a fantastic reputation in the surrounding area and currently has 10 full time members of staff in their brigade to keep up with around 120 covers both at lunch and dinner on a busy service. The property also caters for around 2 weddings a week which on average the manager believes is around the 70 a year.

The average working week is 5 days over 7, average of 45 hours a week and the salary is dependent on experience but the client is willing to pay up to £22,600 per annum with a good tips package and accommodation for only £48 per week with all bills included in that.

This is a great opportunity for a strong Commis Chef to take on their first Chef De Partie role and be mentored by the senior team to start running sections and training junior members of staff.

Candidate Role

  • Work as part of a close team to develop the business and uphold the great reputation held
  • Support the senior team with the day to day operations of the kitchen
  • Assume responsibility of sections throughout the kitchen
  • Report directly to the head chef & Sous chef
  • Assist with the upkeep of kitchen hygiene protocols
  • Offer menu development ideas
  • Assist in daily food prep and service
  • Liaise with senior members to hand over orders and requirements

 

Candidate Specification

  • Fine dining restaurant experience is essential
  • A strong Demi chef de partie would be considered for the role
  • Have a keen eye for fine detail
  • can work independently and as part of a team
  • Be passionate and creative
  • Previous experience working in a similar establishment
  • Excellent time management skills are essential
  • can listen to instructions and implement the kitchen’s high standard
