Description

Chefs for Chefs are currently working with our clients near Saltburn, seeking to recruit an energetic, passionate and focussed chef de partie to join their brigade of 7 in their beautiful 30-bedroom hotel.

On top of the basic salary, there is a tips package available as well. The food style is modern British with European influences. The chef here has already made a name for himself and is looking to push for more awards.

The hours are based on 5 days over 7, a mixture of straight shifts and splits. Every other Sunday is off, and the kitchen also gets Christmas day and boxing day off.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 2 rosette cdp to take the next step in their career with a company that prides itself on the standard of their food and is looking to push for more.

Candidate Role

  • Assume responsibility for running the sections as required
  • Assist the senior team running the day to day kitchen operations
  • Train and develop the junior members of staff
  • Work with the senior team to drive the business forward
  • Assist with orders, stock control and stock take
  • Contribute to new menu ideas, including costings and specifications
  • Adopt and maintain the kitchens food safety and hygiene protocols

 

Candidate Specification

  • Rosette experience desired
  • A strong demi cdp will be considered
  • Be driven and focused to succeed as a chef
  • Ideally from a hotel background
  • Have excellent time keeping, man management and communication skills
  • Be professional and approachable in your work
  • Experience in conference and banqueting an advantage
  • Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile
