Chefs De Partie - 2AA Country Inn


We are currently working alongside a beautiful Family run country inn based in the village of Ravenstonedale who are seeking an experienced & passionate Chef De partie to join their brigade.

The quirky finished pub has 16 bedrooms each individually decorated and finished to a high standard, the property has also won numerous awards for the food offering with a newly appointed head chef that joined this year with a strong 2AA Rosette background.

The Chef De Partie will have a fantastic opportunity learn under the head chef & the 6-man brigade with everyone in the team having a great personality it’s a friendly kitchen to be a part of.

The style of food changes seasonally offering traditional British dishes served to a high standard and they have also utilized the local Cumbrian suppliers who they have built a strong relationship working alongside over the years.

The average working week is around 4 ½ days over 7 with one day having an early finish which take the hours to around the 45 mark. There is the opportunity for accommodation to be supplied for the right candidate.

Candidate Role

  • Assist the head Chef & Sous Chef in the running of the kitchen
  • Assume control of any designated section
  • Train, nurture and develop the existing junior members of the brigade
  • Assist with rotas, scheduling, purchasing and stock management
  • Adopt, monitor and maintain the kitchens’ food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Work closely with the senior team to maintain standards and benefit your career
  • Ensure a professionally kept section always

Candidate Specification

  • CDP experience preferred, although a strong demi would be considered
  • All fresh food background is a must
  • Ideally from a gastro pub background
  • Must be driven to succeed as a chef
  • Have excellent time keeping and personal skills
  • Be professional and approachable always
