Description

Currently on the lookout for a strong Chef De Partie to join a busy fast paced Farm Shop Café on the outskirts of York heading towards Upper Helmsley.

The property is a 120-cover busy farm shop that has its own cafe and outside seating area that can cater around 100.

The working hours are mainly straight shifts and average 40 hours a week with an hourly pay rate of £10.50PH. Once this position has been filled the Head chef and management are looking to implement a one weekend on then one-off giving their employees a better work life balance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking for a decent work/life balance while keeping a solid foot working in a fresh food site alongside passionate chefs creating seasonal dishes to a high level.

Candidate Role

·Work on any designated section as needed

·Carry out tasks as set by the senior team

·Work alongside the head chef to benefit your career

·Ensure your designated section is professionally maintained and well prepped

·Carry out general cleaning and food prep tasks

·Assist to train and develop the junior members of the team

Candidate Specification

·Fresh food background is a must

·Preferably worked in a fast-paced kitchen with large numbers

·Have excellent time keeping, man management and personal skills

·Be flexible in your approach to work

·Be up to date with current legislation and food trends

·Have a friendly and approachable character
