Chefs for chefs are delighted to be working alongside our client on the outskirts of Leeds, seeking a chef de partie to join the chef/owner in helping to push the business on.

The menus are fresh, seasonal and up to date with the latest casual food trends. All food is cooked on site, as such we are looking for somebody who is passionate about cooking from scratch in an environment that has been created with learning and developing in mind.

The hours are based on straight shifts, and are around 40 per week, the owner of the business is not looking to work his staff into the ground, there is a good chance for flexibility and work/life balance to be achieved here.

The client can offer either hourly pay at £9 per hour, or a salary alternative if preferred, this is a great opportunity for a strong commis chef to take their next step on the kitchen ladder, or someone with a branded background who wants to make the move into fresh food cooking.

Candidate Role

  • Assume control of the starter and/or pastry sections of the kitchen
  • Work closely with the head chef to benefit your career
  • Keep your designated section clean, well stocked and professionally maintained
  • Contribute to new menu ideas and dish development
  • Train and develop junior members of the team
  • Ensure consistent quality of all produce
  • Adhere to the kitchen’s food safety and hygiene protocols


Candidate Specification

  • Passion for cooking fresh, seasonal ingredients
  • A polite, well rounded and level headed approach to your job
  • A strong commis chef may be considered
  • Have excellent time keeping and personal skills
  • A fresh food background would be preferred
  • Be up to date with current food trends and ingredients
  • Be confident in your ability
