Description

We are currently working with a Beautiful 4-star country house hotel in North Yorkshire. We are currently seeking a chef de partie to join the 2 AA Rosette kitchen team that pride themselves on their accomplishments and food style.

The food style utilises the best quality ingredients available cooked using modern techniques receiving awards from the AA guide & the good food guide. The hotel has won numerous awards and is a premier destination for weddings due to the stunning views.

The kitchen brigade work 5 days over 7 split shifts with the occasional straight, with this hotel been part of a fantastic group who are working with all sites to introduce a minimum working week of 45 hours plus a service charge of around £2,000 per annum.

There is live in accommodation available for the right candidate.

Overall, we are looking for a self-motivated forward thinking individual to join this already successful brigade to push for greater success.

Candidate Role

  • Assist in the daily running of all sections of the kitchen
  • Work with the senior team to develop the overall running of the kitchen
  • Assume joint responsibility for the overall running of designated sections throughout the kitchen
  • Maintain strict health, safety and hygiene protocols
  • Ensure consistency in your work
  • Participate in daily food prep and cooking in service
  • To maintain all hygiene and safety standards with emphasis on health and hygiene.
  • To produce and deliver high quality food to our customers, in accordance to the standards agreed.
  • To assist the senior chefs by being creative, flexible and proactive in reviewing menu content and product standards.

Candidate Specification

  • Must have experience working in busy hotels with fresh food background
  • Great team player
  • Passionate and enthusiastic
  • A strong, experienced demi chef de partie would be considered
  • Have a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Liaise with senior chefs on all matters regarding food service and maintaining standards
  • Develop junior members of the team
  • Uphold all health and safety legislation in accordance with requirements 
  • Have excellent organisational skills
