Chefs for chefs are delighted to be working alongside our client for their relaxed, all day dining brasserie/bistro.

The head chef and owner have come from a long standing background in the hospitality industry, this is the flagship operation for what they hope will be rapid expansion plans, we are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and driven chef to join them on this journey.

The food style will be bold, modern European flavours coupled with modern techniques. The kitchen is well equipped to produce dishes that have clarity of flavour and clean presentation.

The chef will have the chance to put their own mark on menus with development, new dishes and specials, we are looking for someone who really wants to get involved with driving the business forward.

The basic starting salary will be £8.50-£10ph, plus service. Progression within the company is assured for those who want it, as the business develops there will be plenty of opportunity for growth.

Candidate Role

  • Assist the head chef with the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Assume control of a designated section
  • Train, mentor and develop the junior members of staff
  • Work closely with the senior team to ensure consistent quality
  • Ensure the kitchen’s food hygiene and safety protocols are met
  • Assist with the development of seasonal, fresh menus and dishes
  • Work with the head chef to ensure financial goals are met


Candidate Specification

  • A stable career history
  • A background in all fresh food is a must
  • A strong demi may be considered for the role
  • Must be able to cost dishes effectively and work to budget
  • Have excellent time keeping, personal and man management skills
  • A can do attitude, able to adapt to changing situations
  • Be friendly, approachable and work well with others
