Chefs for Chefs are currently working alongside our client in the beautiful village of Chaldon in Surrey, seeking to appoint a chef de partie to join their busy team of 4.

The pub is popular year round, but especially so over the summer months. They have room for 70 covers inside and 100 covers outside, serving a mix of traditional and modern pub dishes to locals and guests from further afield.

The chefs work a mixture of shifts, based on 5 days over 7. The pub is closed on Sunday evenings also. Salary is dependent on experience, however there is a range of £20-23k basic as well as a tips package. Please note that due to the rural location of the pub, having your own transport is essential for this role.


Candidate Role

  • Work on any designated section as needed
  • Carry out tasks as set by the senior team
  • Work alongside the head chef to benefit your career
  • Ensure your designated section is professionally maintained and well prepped
  • Carry out general cleaning and food prep tasks
  • Assist to train and develop the junior members of the team

Candidate Specification

  • Fresh food background is a must
  • Ideally from a pub background
  • Have excellent time keeping, man management and personal skills
  • Be flexible in your approach to work
  • Be up to date with current legislation and food trends
  • Have a friendly and approachable character
