We are proud to announce a fantastic opportunity for a talented C&B chef in Huddersfield. The property has recently opened its doors to the public and has made its mark on the food scene already.

Boasting 11 individually styled rooms the property is about to open its stand-alone wedding and conference venue within the property as well as a casual dining bistro, there is also a small cellar bar that small bits will need to be provided for.

The wedding venue & bistro has a brand new kitchen installed designed specifically for the two venues, we are now looking for a chef to run the two outlets reporting directly to the head chef of the property. The venue will focus predominantly on weddings so a strong background in events catering would be desirable.

You will be joining one of the most experienced teams in the region as well as working alongside a general manager that has operated some of Yorkshires finest hotels.

As the C&B chef you will be fully responsible for the smooth running of all weddings and events as well as the bistro. You will manage a small team of chef and report directly to the head chef as previously stated. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in multi outlet properties ideally with experience in the luxury market. You must also be able to demonstrate a stable working background, a good understanding of costings, labour management and wastage control will also be essential.

  • Co-ordinate the entire C&B operation reporting to the head chef of the property
  • Develop seasonal menus for the bistro and events alongside the senior team
  • Manage your labour, costings and wastage

  • Be responsible for the health and safety standard of the kitchen
  • Train and develop junior members of the team
  • Assist with recruitment, staff structures and manage kitchen rotas
  • Oversee and manage the multiple food outlets in the hotel, with a strong focus on the bistro and wedding venue
  • Manage ordering and liaise with suppliers for the two venues
  • Work alongside the wedding co-ordinator and clients to design bespoke menus and arrange timings of any event.
