Head Chef-Contemporary Restaurant & Wine Bar

Description

We are recruiting for a head chef for our clients upmarket, fresh food restaurant and wine bar in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

The site has only been operating for a few years but has established a great reputation for an eclectic mix of food and drink offerings which are available over breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The kitchen has had a large investment and has modern equipment throughout. The kitchen team is quite small in size but will be growing as the business grows also.
The average working week will be around 45 hours which spans 5 over 7 days

Candidate Role

·Assume overall charge of the operation 

·Liaise with the management team to develop the business as a whole

·Ensure the kitchen is operating at a high level of food compliance and hygiene standards

·Minimise food wastage

·Develop junior brigade members

·Create seasonally inspired menus

·Run daily food preparations and service

Candidate Specification

·Ideally have held Head chef position previously but a strong sous would be considered

·Excellent management skills essential

·Be able to clearly communicate with a large team

·Be able to accurately cost menus and labour percentages

·Have confidence dealing with the environmental health office

·Be passionate about creating fantastic and consistent quality food

·Eye for quality

·Attention to detail
