Chefs for Chefs are currently working with our client in Huddersfield, a very bus and popular fresh food bistro within a farm shop. We are looking to recruit a chef to run the kitchen and it’s team of 5, which oversees an all day menu including a la carte options as well as servicing the farms shops deli counter.

The hours of service are currently 08.30-17.30, with a view to potentially opening evenings in the summer. All shifts will be straight shifts and the average hours per week would be 45.

There is a great team in place in the kitchen, we are looking for the right chef to manage the kitchen effectively and bring it all together.

There is no accommodation with this role and due to the rural location, your own transport is essential.

Candidate Role

  • Manage the kitchen effectively on a day to day basis
  • Ensure the kitchen is prepped and equipped to deal with high volume
  • Ensure consistent quality in all food produced
  • Be flexible in your approach to work
  • Work closely with the senior management team developing the business
  • Train and develop the existing team
  • Ensure financial targets are met
