We are searching for a head chef to join this fantastic country pub with a growing reputation for its food and Drink. The position offers a great opportunity to work with in a family run business, the role in the kitchen is very straight forward and you will be working solely in the kitchen alongside a Kitchen assistant.

The position offers straight shifts, working 5 days over 7 with the kitchen open Monday to Sunday averaging 45 hours a week with last orders at 8pm and an earlier finish on Sunday’s. The food is all prepared on site and the pub is known for its efficient service, so a candidate that is used to working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.

The food styling is traditional English with a nod to classical techniques, so again a chef that is familiar with that style of cooking would be preferred, the salary on offer is paid hourly £12.00-£15.00 Per hour.


Candidate Role

  • Manage the daily kitchen operations
  • Create new menus working alongside the owners
  • Ensure that the correct amount of stock is being held
  • Create specs for each menu item in accordance with food legislation
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage all health and safety records for the kitchen
  • Cost out menus accordingly to GP targets

Candidate Specification

  • Proven experience at Head Chef level
  • Worked in busy food led pubs
  • Stable working History
  • Must be able to commute to the property due to its location
  • Great time management skills
  • Lead a team
  • Be able to work straight Shifts
