Head Chef-Fresh Food Cafe Bar

Description

We are recruiting for a head chef for our clients busy, fresh food cafe bar set within a row of listed Georgian terraces in the centre of Sheffield .

The role would require the candidate to take the lead of the kitchen operation and assume overall charge. The café bar is open 6 days a week and closed on Sunday with the working week not exceeding 47 hours.

The site offers a great variety of breakfast and lunch dishes inspired by international cuisine including creative vegan and vegetarian options . All is produced fresh on site using the best available produce.

The majority of the working days are day time hours the café bar food service runs between 7.30am-3pm weekdays and 10am-5pm on Saturday. There are occasional requirements for evening shifts for private events which would be roughly 12pm-9pm.

The kitchen team is small but strong enough to conduct a busy service in the well equipped and maintained kitchen.

Candidate Role

.Assume overall charge and working to achieve maximum consistency and guest satisfaction at a professional standard

·Develop, create and cost new dishes for the menus, utilising the best of the seasonal ingredients

·Work alongside the senior management team to deliver the standards and practices that the proprietors require

·Work alongside the Front of house team, ensuring both areas of the team are in unity

·Minimise food wastage

·Manage and maintain the health and hygiene practices of the kitchen, work to improve any areas that are lacking or need re-structure.
