Chefs for Chefs are currently working alongside our client in North Leeds, an independently owned, 100+ bedroom hotel, seeking to appoint a junior sous for their all day casual dining and grill outlet.

Currently operating 35-40 weddings per year, as well as daily conference lunches, corporate events and private dinners, we are looking for somebody to work as part a team of 4, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.

The basic salary is up to £24k dependent on experience and the role is available for an immediate start. The management and senior team are pushing hard to improve the standards of all the food and drink offering at the property, so this is an exciting time to join the team.

Candidate Role

  • Assist with the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Develop menus alongside senior management and guests
  • Train, develop and mentor the existing team
  • Ensure consistent quality in all food produced
  • Work alongside the GM to maintain guest satisfaction
  • Ensure the kitchen’s food safety and hygiene protocols are maintained

Candidate Specification

  • Must have a background in fresh food
  • Ideally have a strong grill background
  • Hotel background is ideal
  • Preferably worked in casual dining
  • A strong chef de partie may be considered
  • Must be financially aware and be able to work to budget
  • Be flexible in your approach
