Junior Sous Chef - 1 Rosette Country Hotel

Description

We are currently seeking to recruit a Junior Sous Chef for small privately owned boutique hotel boasting a 1AA rosette restaurant. This establishment is set in a stunning location and is an extremely popular wedding venue.

With a strong emphasis on British ingredients using a modern twist, the kitchen is producing extremely high quality dishes through a variety of menus.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn several aspects of the kitchen, working alongside a close team, with great potential for development. Unfortunately, no accommodation is available so local applicants or those who drive would be preferred.

Candidate Role

·Work as part of a close team to develop the business and uphold the great reputation held

·Support the senior team with the day to day operations of the hotel

·Assume joint responsibility for the running of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef

·Report directly to the head chef & GM

·Assist with the upkeep of kitchen hygiene protocols

·Offer menu development ideas

·Assist in daily food prep and service

·Liaise with senior members to hand over orders and requirements

Candidate Specification

·Experience in high star hotels is preferred 

·Fine dining restaurant experience is essential

·Similar experience would be preferred but a strong CDP may be considered

·Have a keen eye for fine detail

·can work independently and as part of a team

·Be passionate and creative

·Excellent time management skills are essential
