Description

We are delighted to be working alongside a 2AA rosette stunning 4* Luxury hotel in Windermere seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join this upcoming passionate brigade.

The property has 30 bedrooms, on average caters for 20 exclusive weddings a year and is only open for service through afternoon tea and dinner service, the kitchen is well equipped and recently under the direction of a new head chef actively seeking further accolades.

The team is composed of 8 chefs and kitchen porters, working a 45-hour week based on variety of shifts. 

The restaurant does 40-50 covers on an average evening, to a high 2 rosette standard but with this newly appointed head chef from a 3AA Rosette background he is really aiming to push the property to further success. 

There is the potential of accommodation for the right candidate simple down to the location of this property, the salary on offer is £23,000 per annum depending on experience with Tips & paid overtime after the set contracted hours.

Candidate Role

  • Be a dynamic team player, arrange and organise any given section
  • Manage the preparation techniques monitoring consistency of every item of the kitchens output
  • Work as part of the team, meeting deadlines, managing daily produce coming into the kitchen, and supporting the senior team completing the day to day operations of the kitchen
  • Develop dishes, experiment with new ideas and offer input to menu development
  • Manage the daily cleanliness of the section & kitchen overall, maintaining a safe and professional working environment
  • Develop junior members of the brigade, monitor their progress, preparation and further develop their skill set.
  • Overall, ensure guest satisfaction with every action you do.

 

Candidate Specification

  • 2 Rosette experience is preferred
  • Have a great personality, be able to fit into a new team and environment
  • Be very knowledgeable about current trends, ingredients and cooking techniques
  • Have a fantastic attitude
  • Want to achieve great things in your career
  • Have previous Michelin experience or 3 Rosette experiences
  • Stable working background
  • Hold yourself to a high professional standard
