Junior Sous chef


We are currently working alongside a multi award winning 5-Star boutique hotel in North Yorkshire seeking to recruit a fantastic junior sous chef to join the brigade in the 3 AA Rosette restaurant.


The Hotel has hit the food scene hard and are working towards further accolades in the future. The hotel has 15 individually styled bedrooms and sits in prime position surrounded by beautiful grounds.


The food styling is modern British, with a nod to classical techniques. Working from an A la Carte menu to 26 covers, the kitchen has all the modern equipment required to produce stunning dishes. The head chef is a local lad who knows how to get the best from suppliers and produce alike.


The right applicant will have a proven track record at 3 rosette properties, they will be focussed, passionate and above all dedicated to the industry. The salary on offer is up to £23k plus tips and free accommodation is available for the right candidate.

Candidate Role

  • Deputise for the head and sous chefs in their absence, working to achieve maximum consistency and guest satisfaction
  • Educate, train and develop junior members of the brigade
  • Assist to develop, create and cost new dishes for the menus, utilising the best of the seasonal ingredients
  • Work alongside the chef and senior management team to deliver the standards and practices that the proprietors require
  • Work alongside the Front of house team, ensuring both areas of the team are in unity
  • Monitor G.P margins, stock control and wastage
  • Manage and maintain the health and hygiene practices of the kitchen


Candidate Specification

  • Strong Chef de Partie/Junior Sous chef level previously
