Pastry Chef - Stunning Boutique Hotel


We are proud to announce a fantastic opportunity for a talented Pastry Chef in Huddersfield. Opened in 2018, the restaurant is aiming to dominate the local food scene, offering a fine dining experience in the main restaurant, as well as catering for events and offering a casual dining venue.

The 5-gold star property boasts 11 individually styled bedrooms, as well as a fine dining venue, with focus on quality cooking, exciting flavours and concepts served with precision execution. The property will also have multiple food outlets.

The Head chef of the property has trained in some of the norths leading restaurants & Hotels up to a Michelin star level, it is essential that you are comfortable to work at a multi rosette level.

Candidate Role

·Co-ordinate the Pastry operation working alongside the sous chef and head chef

·Manage regular menu items for the pastry offering of the kitchen utilising the best seasonal ingredients

·Design, develop and implement menus for the C&B offering

·Assist with recruitment, staff structures and training of junior members of the brigade

·Create fresh Breads, Pastries for breakfast service as well as for the other outlets in the company

·Create design and prepare afternoon teas for daily service

Candidate Specification

·Pastry chef experience essential- in a fine dining venue

·Have experience with large C&B with a busy restaurant venue

·Stable working history

·Enthusiastic character

·Be professional and approachable at all time

·Be customer focussed at all times

·Be able to manage a busy pastry section efficiently

·Want to gain high accolades for the property and kitchen team
