Chefs for chefs are currently working with our client in the Norfolk coast, recruiting for Sous Chef for their 2 Rosette restaurant.

The food is seafood based, so a background in fish and seafood would be an advantage, however not essential. We are looking for someone to assist the head chef with the day to day management of the kitchen and the team of 9 chefs.

The style of food is classical, seasonal and local, with much of the seafood coming from only a few metres away, this is a great chance to join a team the really focuses on the ingredients.

A basic salary of £28k is on offer as well as tips of around £3k per year, making a circa £31k package. Accommodation can potentially be provided for the right candidate.

 

Candidate Role

  • Assist the head chef with the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Deputise for the head chef in their absence
  • Oversee all sections, providing support where needed
  • Train and mentor the junior staff members
  • Develop new dishes and menu ideas alongside the senior team
  • Ensure consistent quality at all times

Candidate Specification

  • 1 Rosette minimum level
  • Fresh food background essential
  • Must be confident on all sections
  • Have an up to date knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergens
  • Have a calm head and approachable nature
  • Be a strong communicator
  • Be driven to succeed as a chef
