Sous Chef - Casual Dining Restaurant

Description

We are recruiting for a sous chef to join our clients exciting, privately owned restaurant in Wakefield.

The site takes inspiration from pacific rim cookery incorporating techniques and ingredients from several areas including Indonesia, Peru, Hawaii and the west coast of America. This is twinned with cooking on the robata, a traditional Japanese charcoal grill.

There is a great variety of dishes available ranging from small plates to main meals and options from the grill menu.

The salary range for the role is £25-28k per annum.

Candidate Role

·Assist to oversee the day to day running of the kitchen 

·Develop menus alongside senior management

·Train, develop and mentor the existing team

·Ensure consistent quality in all food produced

·Work alongside the GM and Ops manager to maintain guest satisfaction

·Ensure the kitchen’s food safety and hygiene protocols are maintained

Candidate Specification

·Must have a background in fresh food

·A strong junior sous chef may be considered

·Must be financially competent and be able to work to budget

·Be flexible in your approach
