Description

We are proud to be working alongside this fantastic property on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The country inn boasts 20 bedrooms, approachable fine dining in the restaurant as well as exclusive and bespoke wedding for its clientele.

 

The Kitchen has received a heavy investment, updating all equipment. The kitchen is headed up by Michelin trained chefs, so we are looking for people that want to succeed in their career and train under one of the more talented chefs in the area.

 

As Sous Chef you will be responsible for the smooth running of any given section, and help train the younger members of the kitchen, you will be working alongside the head chef to help develop menu ideas using only the best seasonal ingredients.

 

We are looking for a Sous chef with a stable working background, that can demonstrate their abilities and standards and have the right attitude to help take the team forward.

Candidate Role

  • Run maintain and oversee the smooth running of a given section in the kitchen
  • Create dishes alongside the head chef utilising the best of seasonal ingredients
  • Train and develop junior members of the kitchen brigade
  • Prepare menu items for the C&B side of the business
  • Manage and maintain a safe working environment
  • Manage the cleanliness of your section
  • Manage stock control and orders for your section.

Candidate Specification

  • Great team player
  • Experience at a 2-rosette property is preferred not essential
  • Stable working history
  • Flexible approach
  • CDP level already held
  • Want to work at the highest level
